CITIZEN MEDIA will host the 3rd FP7 Networked Media Concertation Meeting in Anverp (Belgium) on 27 and 28 April 2009.

New Unortkataster launched in Hagen
|

Recently a second Unortkataster has also been launched in the city of Hagen, Germany. This to support the master thesis of Maren Sieker in communication and design at the University of Dusseldorf.

Medal eInclusion Award08

The CITIZEN MEDIA project was presented in the plenary 1 of the Ministerial Conference by Boris Nemsic, CEO Telekom Austria Group.
In addition the pilot-project "Buntes Fernsehen Engerwitzdorf (Colorful TV)" was medal finalist at the European e-Inclusion Award and was elected among the best of five in the category "Digital Literacy". Read more about the event and watch at the videos at following page

PLAN08 Launch Unortkataster

During PLAN08 the major of Cologne launched the Unortkataster. In a very original way with artists and choirs, the citizen of Cologne were introduced to the this application. Read more about the event and watch at the videos at following page. |
PICNIC08 Special Event

|
PICNIC conference presents the latest trends at the crossroads of media, technology, entertainment, art and science. At this event the CITIZEN MEDIA organised a Special with 70 participants. During an interactive sessions, the various project parnters challenged the audience with business models of the CITIZEN MEDIA applications. At regular intervals, the entire audience could express their opinion by voting in favour or against the vision established in the project. Read more about the event at following page. |
NordiCHI2008 workshops

NordiCHI is the main Nordic forum for human-computer interaction research. During the NordiCHI2008 conference from 20 to 22 October 2008 in Lund, CITIZEN MEDIA is organising 2 workshops: New approaches to requirements elicitation and How can HCI improve social media development. Beukenhoflaan on local TV

The people from the "Beukenhoflaan" - an offline community of people living in Limburg / Belgium - shared their experiences regarding their collaboration with the CITIZEN MEDIA project on TV Limburg. They expressed how the technology has affected their community, how they have made contact with new people living in their street.
