Workshop 3: Co-Design in HCI
Theme
Co-design is a relatively new methodology that fits within the Human centred design philosophy. Within the HCI community many people are exploring and elaborating on this method in more or less effective ways. Since there are also other methods that can be applied to create products that fit human needs in an effective, efficient and satisfactory way, it is useful to understand the benefits and added value of co-design.
More information about the theme
Authors are encouraged to focus on one or more of three core issues:
- GOALS What was the aim of the development process?
- APPROACH Describe your practice, e.g. approaches or combinations of approaches during the different phases of the process.
- REFLECTION Unpack assumptions underneath co-design which normally stay implicit or unproblematic; reflect critically upon or rethink concepts that are central to co-design; articulate critical questions.
